Our Practice
Noel Thomson Architecture is a locally owned, family operated contemporary firm managing commercial, institutional and heritage projects across the Riverina and New South Wales.
Our professional team has been involved in countless large- and small-scale projects ranging from Commercial, Educational, Aged Care, Industrial fit-outs to Institutional and Residential developments.
Since establishing the practice in Wagga Wagga, we have expanded into Heritage Consultancy, specialising in sympathetic heritage restorations and renovations to heritage listed properties and buildings in Conservation areas.

Our Team
Noel Thomson
Director
Registered Architect with 32 years of experience. Diploma of Architecture 1984 from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Noel has worked with award-winning firms and contributed to landmark projects including the Wagga Wagga Civic Centre, Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre, School of Dentistry at Charles Sturt University, and the Abbeyfield Project.
His passion for heritage led him to complete the Heritage Advisor Course (NSW Heritage Office, 2002) and serve as heritage advisor for councils in Tumut, Junee, Leeton, Narrandera, Murray, Deniliquin, Coolamon, and more.

Claire
Heritage Researcher & Office Manager
Claire completed her Bachelor of Arts majoring in Museum Studies from Macquarie University in 2014. During her degree, she worked at the Museum of the Riverina.
In 2013, Claire was awarded the Powerhouse Museum's Movable Heritage Fellowship for research and creation of a significance assessment on the Charlie Wong Hing Collection, and a public program on the lasting impact of Chinese immigration to the Riverina and Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area.
Claire attended and completed the Longford Academy 2024 "Introduction to Practical Building Conservation" course in Tasmania, bringing specialist conservation knowledge to the practice.
